This picture reminds me of how Christ's followers can get caught up on what they believe to be right even when there’s a possibility that they’re not entirely “right” (or entirely “wrong”).
Many times we can all be right with regards to our own personal walk with Jesus. As Romans 14 better explains it… (paraphrased) one thing may be right or suitable for one person and not to the other person in which case who are we to interfere and belittle someone else’s personal walk with Jesus. That’s between the individual and Jesus.
For the most part all who claim to be Christ’s followers can agree on matters like murder, adultery, theft, et cetera because it is as clear to one believer as to the other why they’re is wrong.
When a follower is truly seeking God the truth can be as simple as understanding the reason why murder is wrong. However, in other cases it can be as complex as one person interpreting “Sabbath” as Saturday a day of rest (holy) vs “Sabbath” as every day is holy so any day can be a day of rest (holy).
Point is some things are just meant for Christian’s own personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus has made it very clear to all Christians the morals we all need to live by and that is something we all could agree on.

Ecc 7:10

http://bible.us/114/ECC7.10.NKJV
Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”

[Something God spoke to me a few weeks ago. I'm surprised this verse didn't stand out before. I've read this book before, but it was through an audio devotional when it really make me think to remember this verse any time I have the very thoughts this verse speaks of.]

True Salvation (Gateway Church)

Man, this pastor preaches like it's supposed to be preached. He wont sugar coat the truth. If you're going to hell you're going to hell, your life will be a testimony of that. I'll admit, telling someone whether they're going to hell or not is a tough truth for me not to sugar coat (and I'm normally not a 'sugar coater'). I've even heard a very popular pastor calling evil what is evil but when asked if that would send a person to hell he said he "couldn't say." Sadly, many times I would say that but other times is just easier for me to just show them what scriptures say to prove I'm not being bias or anything like that, which is easier for a person to examine their own life if they truly care for the Truth. And of course it "isn't" for us judge whether or not someone will go to hell, but rather Jesus is the Judger and He DID! So point to the scriptures where Jesus preached it like it is! Sadly, many will go to hell and few to heaven, its even sadder that "church" goers and even pastors are among those many. Also, I've heard many people say "I was saved at such at 'such & such time' but I rededicated my life during this time (which was when change was evident)." Well, that always seemed senseless to me when people would say that. I would think if salvation and re-dedication really was how they said it was for them then I could easily say that with my life. However, I know that isn't so, yes at an early age a seed was planted (which made think I was a Christian) so for most of my life I was in the "pregnancy stage/in the womb" but I wasn't saved til I was born from a seed that was conceived long ago. When I was born (reborn in Christ) that's when true salvation came to pass. My life did change, I did feel different, with the change growth came & as I grew in Christ any misguided truths became clear & the deception obsolete. Getting baptized as an adult was not a re-dedication statement rather a statement of "now I've been saved." My child baptism wasn't when I was saved. Yes, as a kid I "knew" what it "meant" when I was dipped in that water "ooh yes now I'm truly a 'Christian'," but truly Jesus didn't have my life. I hadn't given it to Him and I didn't know what it meant to. I thought -that seed- /the knowledge of Jesus was Christianity. I hadn't even heard the word or understood "reborn and salvation." I just knew Jesus died for me & loved me & is God, that's it. It's been about 4yrs now that I've been reborn, but this time in Christ, from a seed that was planted as a kid. And I love it even in times when I feel like my old ways were better but this new Life just won't quit on me. He loves me, convicts me, strengthens me to continue with His change in me and the growth that comes with it. Many times I wonder why so many who seemed on fire for Jesus have gone back to their old ways with no sense of remorse? That's one of the many times when I pray to God to search my heart & reveal any wicked way in me & for His deliverance. But as Jesus said His sheep know His voice & what His Father in heaven has given to Him can never be snatched away from His grip. I am His, He has me in His grip (which gives me comfort & many butterflies, lol) & even when I feel like this life isn't worth it He doesn't loose His grip but rather tightens it closer & reminds my I'm saved & their is no room for my old ways. He is jealous for me & will not share me with any one or thing! Now that's a love I can't get from anyone else nor need from anyone else!

Ha! And like I've said before - The greatest mysteries in life to discover are those things human logic will never understand!

Love this analogy of both LIFE and God!

--In a mother's womb were two babies. One asked the other: "Do you believe in life after delivery?" The other replies, "why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later. "Nonsense," says the other. "There is no life after delivery. What would that life be?" "I don't know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths." The other says "This is absurd! Walking is impossible. And eat with our mouths? Ridiculous. The umbilical cord supplies nutrition. Life after delivery is to be excluded. The umbilical cord is too short." "I think there is something and maybe it's different than it is here." the other replies, "No one has ever come back from there. Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery it is nothing but darkness and anxiety and it takes us nowhere." "Well, I don't know," says the other, "but certainly we will see mother and she will take care of us." "Mother??" You believe in mother? Where is she now? "She is all around us. It is in her that we live. Without her there would not be this world." "I don't see her, so it's only logical that she doesn't exist." To which the other replied, "sometimes when you're in silence you can hear her, you can perceive her." I believe there is a reality after delivery and we are here to prepare ourselves for that reality....--

Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

If I can speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy
But I don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate
If I speak God's word with power, revealing all His mysteries
And making everything as plain as day
And if I say to a mountain jump and it jumps
But I don't love, I'm nothing
If i give all I own to the poor
Or if I even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr
But I don't have love, I've gotten nowhere
So, no matter what we say, no matter what we believe, no matter what we do
We're bankrupt without love

[Love this verse! So much truth to it and honestly allowing God to free us from hate is truly liberating, liberating to oneself. My... in my past I never thought a person could be w/o hate, but it isn't so. Disliking someone doesn't mean we hate or need to hate them. I hate only what is evil, but I've certainly learned not to hate the evil doer, even they have the chance of redemption. A person isn't evil (may sound nuts) as the likeness of God we can't be and 'though we see all these manifestations of evil at the end its all the enemy of our souls who is evil. So while I can be tempted to hate evil doers {as we've all been at some point of our lives} I'll remember what hate feels like and the meaning of it, so NO room for hate!] :)

I love and do not judge the people from the world for it is God's job to judge them. I teach, love, and am tolerant. Like Lecrae says "I'm in no position to condemn anyone, but I won't condone the actions of everyone." So while I'm on this earth representing Christ I will stay away from judging unbelievers but rather teach how can I judge someone who does not know the Truth? (don't confuse judging or conviction for condemnation - that debt has been cleared looooong long ago) But I will not allow a fellow believer claim their faith while PURPOSELY disregarding who they claim to be while not being the example of one. One argument that ticks me: when people expect Christians to be perfect yet when they don’t meet their expectations than “all hope is lost.” Christians are not perfect, well not on this side of heaven; we are only working on perfection. Yes, Christians slip and fall so we will do a lot of wrongs but what sets apart we get back up and repent ask for guidance. Point is growing in Christ & if you're the type that says “I try” but really don't improve then all u are doing is the talking and not the walking. The Key point is growth and like children we grew, learned not to repeat our mistakes, so is this Christian journey mistakes/sins will happen but it’s how we get through them and not how we choose to "rollover on them"
Where I am trying to get to- is while someone calls themselves brother, believer, Christian, and does not display any growth in Christ I will not call them my brothers, period!
One of my very favorite verses that really speak to me on how not to judge the world for it is God’s and how to act around false Christians. Like I once heard Believing in Christ DOES NOT make u a Christian if that were so Satan would be one too cuz he too believes in Christ but he is way far from ever being a Christian!

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NLT)
9 When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. 10 But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. 11 I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.
12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

It's a GOD Morning!

Good Morning,

Be careful around people who don’t value themselves, because they’re incapable of valuing you. Look for those who enhance you, not inhibit you; who fertilize your mind and fortify your faith. When you’re around them you’ll see your best qualities mirrored, and be nurtured by the words that come from their lips. When you encounter somebody who says you have nothing to offer, be sure to laugh; it’s impolite to hear a joke and not laugh. When God made you He stepped back and said, “That’s very good” (Genesis 1:31). So stop entertaining contrary opinions. You have so much potential that the word “possibility” is written all over you. By God’s grace you can be everything He desires. “God decided to give us life through the word of truth, so we might be the most important of all the things he made.” You say, “But I’ve so many regrets.” If you’ve repented and learned from them, get your eyes on the future! God’s love isn’t based on your performance. He didn’t pick you because of your virtues. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He’s the God of second chances, and third ones too. Paul writes, “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish” (Philippians 1:6 TM). The God who brought you this far will take you the rest of the way; He’s committed to you. Just make sure you’re committed to Him. (Taken from: The Word For You today/FBCIT)

“So we might be the most important of all the things he made.” James

"For me, religion was about 'what not to do.' Spirituality opens you up, sets you free." ~Stapp (Creed)

Exactly!

lt frustrates me when people confuse me for a religious person. Christianity is not a religion but rather a Faith. Religion is a man made label! Sometimes is easier for me to simply explain myself as Spiritual (but even then people get confused, since sadly people have misconstrued Spirit as anything but The One True God). So, I can only pray that by my words and actions, people can see the difference...
Even within other faiths (not just Christians) have religions.

BTW: I am not bashing religion. I have no problem going to any religious Christian church I simply will not subscribe to one. I follow God's leading and I believe no matter one's religion we are all God's children and that's what's being a Christian, being renewed by our Heavenly Father & not man's doctrines. The Bible will be our main source of God's Will & pastors are simply helpers/ teachers. We can look at it this way: when we went/go to school we don't just go listen & take notes from our instructors, though they are very nologable on the subject there's so much they can do for us so therefore we have homework. Samething with Pastors & The Bible. And just like misunderstanding an Instructor homework will help clarify the subject, SO will The Bible.

P.S. Good Morning.

Beyonce, The Super Bowl, Sasha & Satan

Man, It's sad to think of who I used to be that while calling myself a Christian and claiming to love God I would mock His Word I would mock videos such as these and call His holy people "fanatics" as a derogatory term as if being a fanatic of Christ was bad or reason for mockery. What saddens me the most & truly hurts the most is that now I'm on the other side of this criticism and not just the fact that the people I love the most see me in the same "light" as the world does (as I used to, too) it hurts because I see it in their faces, I hear it in their tone (and of course I don't want the people I love to see me as a joke) but like them and the rest of the world especially those people I crossed words with or even crossed with a distant glance I do love them all and I wanna know that I will see them in eternity. My past criticism would've said that Christians are blowing this event or lifestyle"out of proportion" by nit picking everything, such as what Beyonce/JZ say and over analyzing their choices, but now I know the difference and the power of our words. Words have ONLY - I mean {only} - 2 purposes good or evil / praises or condemnation / blessings or cursings. So, now knowing this I know that nothing righteous came out of their mouths and it IS definitely something to be concerned and prayed about. This video isn't trying to condemn anyone nor be patronizing its simply trying to educate and convict people in order for true repentance and change. Repentance comes first so no need to worry about changing first and then "repenting" because it's the other way around.

Ever since I truly became a Christian I always have this nagging voice telling me how much better my "old" life was and how nothing ever faced me nor did anything hurt. So, a piece of this video reminded me of that of how I can't understand how I felt invincible before and how I was always independent and in control and never even cared of being in the "in crowd" because I didn't even want to be part of it, it was me and ONLY me (funny how I never saw myself as selfish)! So, while watching this video and remembering that nagging voice of the enemy I then had 'chills' just run through my body because I was reminded that my old ways no longer live in me, just as God intend/ed for us all, to have His Spirit within us. And, though I don't understand why I feel the way I do or why a love like His can live in me can cause me so much pain, especially knowing that the pain comes from those who hurt His heart and not my old stony heart is what drives me nuts so many times. I have these unspoken discussions with God about how can He really love and care for me if I KEEP SCREWING UP, I'm thinking "yes, yes, I know that love is unconditional, but shouldn't there be a severe punishment for my constant disobedience. Oh, God! Yes, I know Jesus already paid the price, but is that a reason for treating Him with contempt? Is that really what Grace means? God I'm so divided between these two thoughts: Grace without contempt or disobedience without a price/repercussions? Where is the in between? Do I wait until I'm on my death bed to truly repent in order to have no chance of feeling guilty of taking advantage of Grace trough Christ to use it as my Licence to be contemptuous towards Your Son's defeat over all sin?" Idk, maybe I'm like a "donkey" and I'm gonna be stubborn 'til God hits me with the truth (such as this video).
So, I'll worry about today and confess I've sinned and I repent and am seeking to continue allowing His Spirit to do His work in me regardless of all the purging He has to do from everything that is evil and bad in me, which ironically the purging of those things hurt just as much as the evil itself, but I know the out come will be perfect! "Funny" how humans can be content in a crappy life vs. a righteous one just because the crappy one is the one they've always known. Masochist?... yes, I think so.

Well, getting back to how it hurts being on this side of the harsh criticism and before never caring to be in the "in crowd" or even being a "leader" of one. Now, its the opposite I am in the "in crowd" (which isn't the crowd most people think is an "in crowd" but it is certainly the best one EVER! I still don't wanna be so much a "leader" as much as just the example and path to the one true Leader. I'm simply a follower, His follower! I want to continue feeling the comfort and hope where regardless of the pain of experiencing the hurt by "brotherly" love or by those who may find my many posts "preachy," tedious, and feel the desire to just end communication with me, I know I do it because I care. Also, because I'm not going to be selfish by keeping a "secret" or have reason for shame or fear of being shunned by keeping the GOOD I mean VERRRRRRY GOOD news about God's love for us (Rom. 1:16). So, while I remain breathing and His Spirit in me I will not stop being "preachy" YES, I am a FANATIC! Deal with it. Yes, I am Crazy, Crazy for God, but certainly NOT delusional! "Great" woooh I get to be persecuted for my faith woop tididoo. But, I will remain comforted that my rewards will be greater in heaven than this earth could ever offer or "conjure!" In heaven I wont need to worry about the pain people or loved ones can cause each other because regardless if they're there with me or not, my heart will know no sorrow nor pain! We all have a choice and I've made mine. Mine is eternity. What is yours?... that's up to you! Take it or reject it!

Faith in GOD and not on Superstitions

Where's the faith of a Christian when they say (or) "knock on wood"? Are superstitions stronger than the Almighty Creator? How about we be an example to others & put our faith in Jesus & say/think "LORD willing...."

I remember once (way after becoming a Believer) I said something & then I saw myself about to say & knock on wood. And its when I held back & realized that by doing that I was idolizing something that has no power (it wasn't that I truly ever believed it worked but some things are habits we pickup as kids w/o even knowing what it means). There are many things that in time with God your spirit will let you know what's right without ever being thought by anyone.

I am who He says I am!

My past no longer defines me. My present temptations does NOT define me. My struggles, my mannerisms, my personality, etc... does not define me. No one in existence has that power over me, only my Father can & does. He says I am His! He says I'm His Royal Princess & that slacks, shirts, & tattoos does not make me less of a princess. Yeah, so what if the world expect women to be "girly girls" My Father says I am who He says I am & was created to be, so not even I can change or define myself, it is impossible!
I'm glad of finally knowing the true meaning of Love & of a Father. I'm so excited of meeting the Lover of my soul, my Father, the One & only who's made me fall head over heals in love, God!!! Yes, I am a Believer & though most of my outward appearances have not changed, my heart has & it will continue to til The Bride's Grooms comes to take me into perfection... Oh, what a glorious day that will be!!! As one of my favorite songs "There Will Be a Day" by (I think) Jeremy Camp which says: There will be a day when I'll see Him face to face. Oooh, it always gives me chills & very anxious & happy to know there WILL BE A DAY. How greater will it be if every person whose crossed paths with me were to be there, too! (From strangers that never crossed words with me to the people that did).

Remember this, like someone who struggled with alcohol was called an alcoholic by society because of their struggles. That still does not define the person much less when they've joined the heavenly family. So "once an alcoholic always an alcoholic" is not to be considered a definition nor a life long bondage when you're in Christ.
I'm not fat, I have fat. No one's an alcoholic, but rather have a bondage to alcohol, they have a problem but they are not the problem, bondage & sin is. We all have had or have bondages but their is some One who can free you from them & give you your true identity, your true name, He will be the One to define you. Yes, I was alot of things before Christ. Even when I've always hated subscribing to labels (which I still do) in my past I even took the liberty of allowing society to define me just to suit their ignorance, but now I know better.
And, like Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV)
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Now, I say...:
When I was an unbeliever ("child") I talked like a heathen ("child")and thought like heathen ("child") I reasoned like a heathen (child"). When I became a believer ("man") I left my old heathen ways behind me (I put the ways of childhood behind me).

I'm praying for you by Lecrae

Father God, I'm prayin' to You for somebody, who knows You Lord but just hasn't been seein' You in the right view lately. Hear me out...

Father, I'm prayin' for a friend he and I are pretty close, and out of all my friends for this one I'm concerned the most. He say he readin' daily but he ain't really learnin'. He been in church but say that he ain't moved by any sermon. His face weak, he ain't... prayed in a week, he wake up and just weep with his face in the sink Lord, You gotta help my man, I'm prayin' for him daily, he ain't sinned but it just seem as if he goin' crazy. He say he feelin' trapped, can't even head up the mall coz every lady's half-dressed temptin' him to lust and fall. He keep the TV off, videos just make him feel that he ain't really nothin' without money, girls and shiny wheels. The other day he told me that he felt less a man coz he ain't have a five-year plan or a piece of land and man it's crazy coz his family think so much of him, plus he got a godly wife who always showin' love for him but he's strugglin', even though he talk to me, I tell him what to do but he don't listen when he oughta' be. I'm scared for him coz there's people that look up to him, he got some younger siblings who been changed by what he's done for them but is it done for him, Lord don't let it be, if he don't wanna talk to You then Father hear from me...
God, his condition has worsen since we were last conversin' and I'm with him now and he ain't doin' well and this I'm certain. He say he tryna' trust You, doesn't wanna disgust You but he was in the mist of sinners and did not discuss You and just today his anxiety's got the best of him, he knows Christ but for hours refuse to rest in Him, he's not the best of men but Lord I know he really loves You and I can't understand why lately he's not thinkin' of You. People trust this dude, You could crush this dude, Father he needs more of You I pray you touch this dude, what can I say to him? I'm determined to pray for him Father empty and brake him I pray You'll just have Your way with him, coz there's a change in him and the effects are strong, I pray You open up his heart before the next song and when he gets home, I pray he'll open up the sixty-six book love letter You wrote and soak it up coz he ain't hearin' You and he ain't feelin' me and God I know it's killin' You because it's killin' me and matter of fact there's somethin' else he's concealin' see, the person that I've been prayin' about is really [me]...

[WAY RELATEABLE :( ]

[Misconception Verse 3 By: Odd Thomas] Church Clothes (Mixtape) Abum By: Lecrae

You probably have it all figured out, right?
Like you're the type that believes that if you act right
Then that just might make you righteous in God's sight
You've been a really good person, you followed the good book as much as you could
You probably didn't go to church as much as you should, but it's all good
I mean you never really killed anybody, never really steal from anybody
You never luste...d much, or did much, touching of any bodies
You never use the Lord's name in vain, and you respect you neighbor
You try to maintain peace, love your enemies and not hold on to anger
You really believe that you could receive God's favor by your good deeds and right behavior
But you're dead in your transgressions and need a savior
Cause you could never win God's approval with the removal of sinful discretions –
Your righteous acts of removing God's wrath is in fact the biggest misconception...

Bible Study HELP

http://christiananswers.net/home.html --- is a good source of help for your Bible studies. Emphasis on [Help] NOT dependency!!!!!! Their answers come with Bible references for us to LOOK UP!

Be Ready to Give a Defense to Everyone Who Asks You a Reason for the Hope that is In You

1 Peter 3:15 (NKJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

I know many of you, by now, know that I'm a big fan of [doing your own studies on the Word] and not just simply because we learn more of Him but its quality time we need to build a deeper relationship. So I read this verse a few months ago on this web page--- http://www.christiananswers.net/q

--- & I'm like "see, we are to stand up for our belief but how will anyone be able to if they are depending on what he or she said (referencing to another believer or pastor)? I know we can forget where the references in the Bible are of a lot of what we learn, but I suggest using a notebook - after all notebook has always been in use for any studies. So even though I red this months ago I don't think I ever shared it, but I pray it can motivate us all to do our own studying after all the Bible is a Teacher of its own and not an ordinary text book. So I suggest to read this awesome web page, because it has a perfect example as to why we must study!
p.s.  2 Timothy 4:2-4 is also very much applicable to this post.

FYI studying the Bible isn't a race either on how fast u can read or study it, if anything that makes it harder to actually learn. Shoot I started my One Year Bible about 15 months ago & I'm still 4 months behind. Though for the most part I have no good reason for being that far behind I realized this isn't a race & the Bible is set up for people who are avid readers. So, I'm considering doing half readings each day just as long as my motives are in the right place to learn and NOT race trough it.

Lust

A Christian woman lusting over a Christian man (or vise versa) doesn't make it any less wrong than a worldly woman lusting over a worldly man (or vise versa) Do NOT let Satan's angelic facade deceive you!

Andy Mineo (formerly C Lite) - Night Of The Livin'

The biggest difference between Jesus Christ and ethical and moral teachers who have been deified by man. Is that these moralists came to make bad people good. Jesus came to make dead people live!

The covenant was made, it was painful it hurt. The Savior was slain but He raised from the dirt.
Now, I'm covered in His blood aint no stains on my shirt! He conquered the grave. Now, my faith is secure 'cuz my God's still alive! I await His return.
SOME PEOPLE THINK THEY SAFE CUZ THEY STAY IN THEIR CHURCH, BUT IF THEY ONLY KNEW IT WAS BY FAITH AND NOT WORKS.
BY HIS GRACE AND HIS MERCY, THE FATHER HE TAKE A SINFUL MAN AND MAKE SOMETHING OUTTA 'NADA'
He washed away the dirt that I did when I tried to satisfy my thirst outside the living water.
Oh what a great mistake. I wasted so many years, I tried to do it my way instead of doing His.
That's probably why I ceased the salt from my tears, but now I be the salt of the earth to my peers.
Sin brought me so high but when I came down there wasn't enough folly to keep my mind sound.

Are October 31 “Harvest Parties” the best alternative for Christians?/What should followers of Christ do? Pray!

The October 31st holiday that we today know as Halloween has strong roots in paganism and is closely connected with worship of the Enemy of this world, Satan. It is a holiday that generally glorifies the dark things of this world, rather than the light of Jesus Christ, The Truth.

Have you noticed how costumes and masks are getting generally more bloody, gory, and depraved each year? Unfortunately, the gruesome and grotesque and the occult are increasingly glorified in American society, not only on Halloween, but throughout the year in frequent horror movies and television programs.

My family does not celebrate it or participate in it. We do not believe that our children are “missing out,” and neither do they. Other days are used for costumes and parties. Happily, all of our children have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We have found that Halloween provides an excellent time to remind our children that, as Christians, we are different, and not of this world (Heb. 11:13-16; 1 Pet. 2:11).

What about church “Harvest Festivals” held on October 31? Although we understand the rational and good intentions behind them, we don’t think they are the best approach. Our family tends to agree with the author of an article called “Are ‘Harvest Parties’ for Christians?” (written by a self-avowed former witch and now active Christian). Harvest parties on October 31 tend to assume that “our children need something to take the place of Halloween, since they won’t be participating in the secular and pagan celebrations. It suggests our kids are missing out on something. And indeed they are, if we allow them to spend Halloween in celebration.” There are better things to do on Halloween than partying.

Also, we need to teach our children that “the fight isn’t against occultists, non-Christians, Christians who feel differently than we about Halloween, or institutions that promote Halloween, but” “against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12, NKJV).

Are October 31 “Harvest Parties” the best alternative for Christians?

“What are you doing for Halloween?” Ask a Christian parent this question, and be prepared to hear an answer like, “Nothing! We don’t celebrate Halloween.“ Thunder crashes, and you creep away, embarrassed for even asking.

“What are you doing ON Halloween?” Ask the same parent this slightly altered question, and their whole manner and response brightens. “Why,” they begin, as birds begin to sing and sunshine breaks through the cumulus clouds. “We’re all going to the Harvest Party at church!” A choir sings. A trumpet sounds. You feel privileged just knowing these saints.

Let’s take a look at the typical Harvest Party.

It is a celebration.
It is chaperoned (usually).
It may have costumes.
Games are played.
Contests are held.
Food abounds.
Music blares.
Everyone enjoys themselves.

Certainly, nothing to get concerned about, right? The problem, however, lies in the billing. The Harvest Party is usually referred to as the Christian alternative to traditional Halloween hijinx. Alternative, however, implies substitute. It assumes our children need something to take the place of Halloween, since they won’t be participating in the secular and pagan celebrations. It suggests our kids are missing out on something. And indeed they are, if we allow them to spend Halloween in celebration.

If we are to train our children to be soldiers in the army of Christ, why would we sign a pass for them to go on leave when the battle is escalating on the front lines?

As a child of four, I contacted the first of many spirit guides (read: demons) while playing with a Kindergarten classmates’ ouija board at a chaperoned Halloween party. This spiritual assault ignited an intrigue with the supernatural that culminated in my lifestyle as a practicing witch: divination, necromancy, channeling, astrology, psychic ability, and spell working. It wasn’t until I was twenty that I met the real Jesus Christ, and was released from the trap that Satan had set for this young prisoner of war sixteen years earlier.

There are too many casualities on Halloween and far too few troops fighing the enemy. Instead of partying on Halloween, teach your children how to fight. Keep them aware that the fight isn’t against occultists, non-Christians, Christians who feel differently than we about Halloween, or institutions that promote Halloween, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers or darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).
How do we teach our children to wrestle spiritually?

Discourage them from participating in traditional Halloween activities (2 Timothy 2:4). Then tell them why.

Encourage them to pray on a regular, daily basis (Ephesians 6:18). Let them know first hand the power that we have in prayer. All Christians should know how to fight on their knees.

Remind them to be alert and self-controlled (1 Corinthians 16:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:6). Give them the discipline of knowing it is their responsibility to keep watch. They, themselves, might also become casualties in the war.

Make certain they are prepared for battle (Ephesians 6:11). Do they know the truth? Stand on the Word of God? Have faith? Know the gospel? Are they righteous? Are they saved?…

Instead of celebrating, what’s a Christian to do on Satan’s feast day? PRAY! Intercession and spiritual warfare should be the first item on our agenda. It is NOT a last resort!

Join with other families in the church. Have the pastor announce a night of spiritual battle. Organize a group of Christians parents and students from your children’s school or homeschool group. As a family, designate the seven nights before October 31 as Family Prayer Outreach nights.

Pray for protection. Pray over both those who engage in prayer warfare and over those who will be out trick-or-treating or at Halloween parties. October 31 is a prime recruiting time for witches and Satanists… and a time for interested kids to experiment. Pray that the Lord keeps our kids from falling prey to those who worship the enemy.

Pray for discernment. Let the Holy Spirit direct you to specific prayer requests. Pray that the children who are “out there” will somehow “know” to keep away from certain activities.

Pray that the Lord hinder the occult rituals. For four years, I lived in a building which over looked a cemetery where occult ceremonial markings were often found. On certain occult feast days, usually between midnight and 3 a.m., I would look down into the darkness and kneel at my window binding the demons that controlled the ceremonies. I’ll never know this side of heaven what effect my prayers had. Maybe a potential sacrifice escaped. Maybe the occultists weren’t successful in summoning their demon. Maybe a new, young recruit decided that this was not the lifestyle he thought he wanted.

Pray for the salvation of the occultists. Jesus Christ died for those whom Satan holds captive and deceived, for those who mock Him, who deny His deity or His existence. He doesn’t want them to perish, but to come to Him calling Him Father, Lord. Pray the veil is lifted from their eyes, the Lord allows them to see clearly their spiritual condition and their only hope lies in Jesus Christ. Pray also, about whether the Lord would have you take a more active role in bringing the gospel to Satan’s servants.

Let your children know that this is effective warfare. They must know their prayers are heard and acted on by our Father. Let them know they can make a difference. Come October 31, they’ll know they have a job to do.

What should followers of Christ do? Pray!

Maybe you want to know if it's okay to have a “Harvest Festival” or a “Harvest Party” on October 31. Here is a suggestion. Instead of having a party on the same special day that people worship our spiritual enemy, invite your friends over and ask them to pray with you. Pray for the safety of children that are out trick-or-treating. Pray that God would prevent people and even animals from being hurt or killed because of this day.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 that we are in a war against Satan and his allies. It also tells Christians what to use as armor to protect ourselves (verses 13-17). Then in verse 18, I believe we are given the weapon: prayer. All you have to do to find out how powerful prayer can be is read the Old Testament; nearly every amazing thing that happened was a result of prayer.
You can still have a holiday…

If you want to have an autumn party, I suggest making it a celebration of life and God's goodness. Thank God that He provided a way for us to be saved from our sin and to live with Him forever, instead of being separated from Him for eternity. If you want to have a party, why not hold it sometime earlier in the fall, instead of on the day which celebrates God's enemy, death and ghoulish things? Set aside the 31st as a day to pray for all of those who are still trapped by Satan's lies. Don't help support a “holiday” which is based on bad things.

Romans 12:21 says “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Even when everyone around does things that are not good, we need to stand up for what is right. We should not let Satan have the victory on October 31, but we should use our powerful weapon of prayer against him.

Preach the Word

2 Timothy 4:2-4 (NKJV)

2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

***********************************************
I read this last night & it seriously convicted me! I'm not saying that this is what I do. 'Though, I may had done it in the past, but I have repented. However, I do believe this is true with a lot of so called "Christians." The Bible amazes me more & more as I keep on studying it. I already had this feeling that this truly exists, but I had no idea that it was prophesied in the Bible. Now, reading it, I wanna continuously pray for God to search any evil & selfish thoughts or feelings in my heart & that He would remove them & replace them with His righteousness. Also, my prayer for you all is the same & that this verse convicts all of u in one way or another. Remember whether we like to admit it or not WE ARE ALL selfish (& trust me I hate to say it 'cause I don't think I am, but God knows I am & well He knows me more than I know myself & He knows all of y'all more than u know yourselves!

Counterfeit Gods || Spoken Word || Jefferson Bethke

Yet another awesome work. This is 1 out of, only, 3 that I like (I mean LOVE) from him. Only 3 cuz I know he ain't perfect, but those 3 are pretty darn close to humanly "perfect" Awesome work Jefferson Bethke keep it coming!

You do NOT have to like this picture to prove you love Christ and ignoring it doesn't prove you don't!

I made this picture because I've been seeing very absurd pictures on facebook regarding peoples "love" for Christ. Sadly some people think 'liking' a picture is how one proves they 'love' God (to themselves or whoever). Just because some one posts a picture of God telling you to press 'like' if you love God & ignore if you "don't" does not mean or prove anything FACTUAL! It may only prove of how uncertain you are towards your true feelings. If that's the case ask God to reveal to you the intentions of your heart. Remember God knows all regardless of a silly picture and regardless of what you believe OF yourself.

Psalm 139:23 (NKJV)

Try me, and know my anxieties;

Created FOR Christ!

Everyday I'm living trying to show the world why Christ is more than everything they'll ever try.
We were created for Him! Outta the dust He made us for Him! He elects us & He saves us, for Him! Jesus comes & raises, for Him!
Magnify the Father! Why bother with something lesser?
He made us so we could bless Him & to the world we confess Him!
So, I know I got life, matter of fact it's better! I kno
w I got Christ!

If you don't' see His ways in my days & nights. I've lost my rights, I've lost my Life! The cost is Christ. And the world could never offer me anything on the planet that'll cost that price!

~ Lecrae (Don't Waste Your Life)

I wonder why people have this crazy notion that if God doesn't agree with us satisfying our fleshly desires then that means He isn't a loving God? Like, really? Like, honestly, I used to live in this sin that I couldn't understand that God would call sin. My way of thinking was "well God made us & He wants us to be happy 'cause He loves us & well I don't care what anyone has to say about my life"
But, little did I know or understood, that we were NOT made for ourselves!

We were created for Him! Outta the dust He made us for Him! He elects us & He SAVES us, for Him! Jesus comes & raises, for Him!
Now why shouldn't I negate myself? (The Father denied His right to bring His wrath upon me) Why not die to self, so He could live in me? The world can call it what they want! They can call - denying our flesh & surrendering our sins - suppression, but who says that suppressing our flesh is wrong? Especially when it's for an Infinite God. I am blessed (we are all blessed!) that we could find joy & still live a free & righteous life in Christ, while not living for ourselves! I thank God that for the most part of my life I've found joy in being selfless, I've always enjoyed being the 'giver' but while I lived in that sin (that by the way was eating me inside) I didn't think that was a selfish act of the flesh, I didn't think it was something I could give away, not even to God for Him to do away with. I was fooled by the enemy to believe I was doing no wrong nor being selfish to what was & is God's purpose in everyone's life. So, to end this post... I was blind, now I see. (John 9:25)

Beware of Personal Favoritism

James 2: 1-13 (NKJV)
Beware of Personal Favoritism

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. 2 For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, 3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” 4 have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?

5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? 7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?

8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

{It saddens me that many "church's" are like this, showing partiality & some may not even consciously know that they're doing this. They don't realize that's one reason ppl don't seek the church even when they long so sooooo desperately to be part of the body of Christ, and sadly some that were in the church felt left out and decided to find love and acceptance in the world. Church isn't supposed to be consisted of many groups of ppl it's supposed to be consisted of ONE group of BELIEVERS! The "clics" & "exclusive groups" should be left in the world! We should all go out into the world & call in those ppl who others call "outcast" The church is the best place for the WORLDY outcast we all should be outcast of the world. Lets go out there and break free those clics & exclusive groups and welcome them in an ALL INCLUSIVE BODY OF CHRIST THE CHURCH! THE BRIDE! THE HANDS & FEET!}

An awesome follow up to my previous post - Lecrae - Church Clothes

This is a good follow up to my previous post. If you aren't real good at listening/understanding rap please try looking up the lyrics. Lecrae is rapping in an ironic & also a bit sarcastic way from a worldly/judgmental perspective view of The Church.

PS. If you're one of the kinds of ppl that see no glory in Christian rap please try to at least open your mind/heart to the lyrics & for 3 minutes forget about how you feel towards this particular Christian music/worship.

Change in the world & in the church can only start with YOU...

Do you think this world needs change? Are you one that says "I don't need to be in church while there are 'fake' ppl in it."? So you feel justified to do what you do. Well if y'all want change why not be part of it instead of making endless wishes when you're not part of the answer to your wishes or prayers. I thought just like that for many years growing up & if it weren't for one night that I realized I needed Jesus to be the change in me & acknowledged change came from ME ALLOWING JESUS to do the work, I would never go to church or be who I am today. I go to church for Jesus, I go to be a change in the world and yes I go the be PART of the change in the church & with the church. Church can't change me, Jesus can. You've might've heard that "the church is like a hospital for sick ppl" and yes its a good analogy, but think about this: when you go to the hospital to get cured/better do you seek to get cured by the nurse or by the Doctor? I go to church not to be changed/better by the pastor I go to get cured by The Doctor/Jesus. Nurses like pastors are simply "good" helpers, but they can only do so much. So if you go to see how well the church can make you its like expecting the nurses to give you their own personal "medical" advice instead of actually waiting for the nurses to come back with a reply from the doctor. Also, the nurses do give us many times a reply from the doctor but they always set an appointment for you to personally meet the doctor & to truly see what the doctors advice is. Same thing in church we can get a word from our heavenly Doctor trough our pastors, but we get to personally meet Him & know His genuine advice when we set an appointment to meet Him personally trough His Word/trough His Holy Bible! _\m/

I hope this all made sense and it wasn't "all over the place", lol.

RECONCILIATION trailer

Very good movie! I actually believe is one of the most honest movies ever made. I don't mean necessarily the Christian part alone ('cause sadly not many "Christians" ever get to this point) I mean the real life struggles that Jesus came to set us free from, TOO! HIS Grace is for ALL and not for a select few.

As Paul once said...

Romans 7:13-25 (NIV)
13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is good to bring about my death, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful. 14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I
do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

{God knows my sins, He knows those recent sins I've been continually falling into. I know that God is a forgiving God. However, recently I've asked myself:

"Can God really forgive me even when I continue to sin in that which I hate & wish I did not do, in the sin I feel I can't really control nor feel like I have enough self will to stop?"

So today I remembered the verse above #15 & decided to read more into its entire context (vs 13-25) to see if I can find some hope for my struggles. Thankfully I do find hope in it. I understand that I am sinful I'll never get it entirely right on this side of heaven & it is the sin of my flesh that causes me to do what I do NOT want to do. But ,I also know that the Holy Spirit dwells in me that convicts me continually. & I acknowledge that God's law & commandments are Truth. It is because of my remorse that I know I'm wrong & I know that who I am, whether I like it or not, is a sinner. I, also, know that as long as I have the Holy Spirit in me & I feel remorseful there is still hope for me yet. I am not saying that because I feel what I feel & know what I know is wrong - excuses me & therefore will allow me to enter into eternity with my LORD, what I AM saying is that while I still am alive & I am conscious of my sin I still have hope of being set free of that of which I hate, so I will continue to pray (& ask others to the same for me) to Jesus to help me turn away from that I feel I'm becoming captive of.

I THANK GOD FOR THE HOPE HE HAS GIVEN ME TROUGH THESE VERSES, SO I CONFESS TO EVERYONE, I SIN! I PRAY GOD THAT YOU WILL BLESS ME & SET ME FREE FROM THAT OF WHICH YOU HATE & THEREFORE I, TOO, HATE! MY HEART BRAKES WHEN I KNOW YOUR HAS BEEN THOUSANDS OF YRS AGO & HOW EACH TIME I SIN IT BREAKS YOUR HEART AGAIN. FORGIVE ME & THANKS FOR THE DELIVERANCE YOU WILL SOON GIVE ME FROM THIS BONDAGE. IN JESUS' NAME I PRAY. AMEN!}

Trials & Adversities are like an oven...

"He pours the cream of His Spirit over everything, sprinkles some grace and mercy on top, puts it in a hot oven of trial & adversity, & - voilĂ ! - a delicious offering we never thought our lives would ever produce again, ready to serve to a hungry world that's equally in need of redemption." ~Priscilla Shirer (A study from Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted)

(This is perfect for me to remember. When I'm in hardships all I need is to remember is that I'm still in the oven & The Master Chef is watching when I'm ready to be taken out & be served to feed this hungry world) Ha!, sometimes I wanna think I know more than the Chef & so I demand to be taken out of the oven because I feel I might just be over cooked & its not til I realize I'm the product of the Chef & not til He knows I'm ready will I be a serving for others, so it's when I realize "yup, I need a bit more roasting" :)
When you throw things into your buggy at the grocery store do u stop & think how blessed you are because YOU CAN buy those things? I'm talking especially to ppl like me who sometimes have it hard & live check by check. Why do I? Because we can complain how hard we have it (& we do have it hard no doubt about it) but I know there are many out there like me who lash out at God 'cause we're stressing, fretting about living on a real tight budget, but hey at least we have a budget. I've always acknowledged how others have it worse, but right now as I was shopping & throwing things in my buggy that were wants & not needs made me realize it even more. It's like God was telling me "why do u complain so much when others have NOTHING & u get to do what u just did? I gave you the blessing to pick what u wanted to throw in your buggy. Thank me, stop complaining & acknowledge what I'm doing for u" (& I did do as He said which also persuaded me to ask y'all these questions) I've never been much of a complainer, but in the past year I have, which its been mostly about life & God's purpose for my life. So I'm glad He is faithful & a Great Teacher who teaches me how blessed I am. I can't wait til the day I can be a big blessing to others & to be God's vessel in which He can display His love & mercy. I thank God for the very lil (or a lot as those who aren't as blessed would say) of what I have & I pray He would bless, as much as He's blessed us, to those who have it worse than us. I pray He continues to be patient & show me all that I am blessed w/ every day! All in Jesus' Name I pray & thank Him... Amen!

I don't know if it's just me or what, but I have an even deeper reason to think God is soon to come because there are tons of ppl coming to know God, being saved, and surprisingly these ppl are ppl no one would think they would. However, sadly, a lot more ppl are becoming even more wicked & surprisingly these are ppl no one would think they would be. (Ironic, huh?)

Matthew 7:14 (NLT)
14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Ask yourself, "which group do I fit in?" If your answer is w/ God, AMEN. So be alert you don't allow Satan's temptations get a hold of you, because trust me he wants to add you to his group! Now if you answered either "I don't know, I'm a 'good' person so I think I am worthy of God" or your answer was "eh, God, really?" I pray you would come to meet Him before it's too late! I've been seeing lately a lot of men faithfully serving the LORD & honestly growing up I've never really seen that in many ppl (particularly men) And I don't think there is ANYTHING more attractive in a man than his love & fire for God. A man who places God before ANYONE/ANYTHING (even his own fleshly desires) & isn't ashamed of being called a fanatic or "obsessive". (This applies to everyone, even women). Too many ppl like to say "too much of anything is bad" Well I faithfully disagree when someone says that a persons obsession for God is bad. There's no such thing as too much love for God if anything there isn't much love :( The kind of obsession that is bad is the one when we are hooked/idolizing things we think are "good." Obsession is not bad if its placed in the One & Only God. My obsession is love & devotion to God & to live my life for Him & not for me or anyone else. So of-course I think these things make anyone extremely more attractive than anything else. God is my 1st, 2nd, & 3rd choice (only choice). He's above the love for my fam/frnds, above ANYONE elses beliefs or rules, & above my OWN fleshly desires. :)
